Monsanto Biotechnology-Graduate Students Tour Monday, July 27 2009 From 2:15 p.m to 5:45 p.m This tour is open to graduate students only. Monsanto is a global leader in agricultural biotechnology. The Monsanto Biotechnology facility in Chesterfield, MO is a center for the company’s research on improving agronomic crop production (primarily corn, soybeans, cotton, and canola). The tour will highlight the workings of the “pipeline”, from transformation to commercial release of crops with improved traits, including pest resistance, drought tolerance, nitrogen use efficiency, and increased yield. Cost: $15.00 per person The Departure Site will be at front of the Millennium Hotel at 4th Street.
