This workshop will present ways of assessing teaching effectiveness at both the course and curriculum or program level.
This workshop will present ways of assessing teaching effectiveness at both the course and curriculum or program level.
As accountability for learning outcomes becomes more demanding at the college and university level more and more horticulture accreditiation associations are requiring program and curriculum assessment, effective assessment methods are needed. The workshop will present techniques that can be used to assess student learning outcomes at the course and at the curriculum or program level. Topics include pre- and post-tests, capstone courses, service learning, exit tests and interviews, along with others. A series of short presentations on methods will be followed by a discussion.
