International collaborations with developing and developed countries are of interest to many horticulturists in the U.S. because of the potential scientific and economic impact these collaborations can have. Presentations in this workshop will provide audience first-hand experiences of international collaboration in the fields of horticulture education and crop culture. The first half of the workshop introduces the Horticulture Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP) and demonstrates the challenges and impacts of this program by presenting several projects by their project directors. The second half of the workshop presents various international collaborative programs initiated by land-grant universities, including educational and other information exchange programs. We hope to encourage horticulturists to pursue international collaborations or to be involved in international activities by the presentations and discussions provided through this workshop.
