Current Status of Transplant Production: Challenges and New Technologies

Objective(s):
To provide an update in the areas of grafting, transplant nutrition and irrigation, production of organic transplants and the transplant supply chain challenges and opportunities.
The success of the sustainable horticultural crops largely depends on the production of high quality transplants in a way that is economically and environmentally sustainable.  Production of organic transplants is one example of the areas that present challenges and opportunities for research and extension development program.  This workshop will provide an update on the current research and extension activities, particularly in the areas of grafting, transplant nutrition and irrigation, production of organic transplants, and the transplant supply chain challenges and opportunities.
