The use of automated dataloggers to measure aerial environmental conditions and soil moisture from various sensors can provide useful information for research or in commercial production operations.  However, organizing and visualizing large amounts of data is only possible when data is systematically collected and logically analyzed. This session will discuss the use of various software in managing large, real-time datasets, and we will share our experiences in organizing and analyzing these data. This session also will cover some useful tips in programming and using Campbell (Loggernet) and Decagon  (DataTrac) software, which will provide insight into utilizing dataloggers for many research applications. We will also highlight new software and a graphic user interface that the SCRI-MINDS project has developed for real-time monitoring and control of irrigation.
