Inaugural Horticulture Service Learning Project Dr. David Kopsell, Leader ASHS Undergraduate Working Group Service learning benefits communities and society, but overall, it is the students who receive the most gain. A Horticultural Community Service Learning project provides students an opportunity to apply horticulture learning to real human needs. Service learning gives students an opportunity to integrate and elaborate on their horticulture knowledge, and it increases the likelihood of transferring theoretical knowledge to actual practice. This year at the Annual Conference, an opportunity to partake in a Horticulture Community Service Learning project is offered. Please visit the registration booth on Monday for more information.
