Workshop-Yes Virginia, There Really Is an Economic Impact of Consumer Horticulture. (CEU Approved)

Objective(s):
1. Define economic impact for consumer horticulture programs. 2. Identify realistic economic indicators for consumer horticulture programs. 3. Review case studies where economic impact was successfully documented.
Presenters will introduce a working definition of the economic impact of consumer horticulture programs. They will also provide an overview of economic indicators that can be used to evaluate the financial impact of consumer horticulture programs.  Specific examples of effective documentation of economic impact will be shared as will a summary of a review of the literature regarding assessment of economic impact consumer horticulture.
