This tour will visit two nurseries and one botanical garden.  One nursery specializes in bamboo production and according to owners have learned by doing.  Self-described as low-tech, Quindembo Bamboo promises to give a glimpse into simply growing beautiful and divserse bamboo, Hawaiian style.  Hawaiian Sunshine Nursery has a diverse array of products including Anthurium, bromeliads, foliage plants, flowering plants, vines, Plumeria, food and medicinal plants, and Hawaiian natives.  Additionally, we will visit the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, which has a plant database including 1,762 unique accessions, with 488 Genera from 94 families.  The garden is a member of APGA.
