Although a significant amount of time is allocated to the study of horticulture and plant science, exploration of career options for horticulturist is oftentimes overlooked. To address this, this session has been organized to provide a venue for horticulturists employed in private industry, Extension, public and private gardens, landscape design, federal research programs, and early career academia to share their career choices and experiences with the audience. Following a short presentation by each speaker, the session will breakout into an informal one-on-one session where workshop participants can interact with speakers to explore their future career options.
