Participants will take the metro (Metro card provided) to three locations (US Tax Court Plaza, – District Department of Energy and Environment, Up Top Acres Urban Farm) in Washington DC, to learn how urban ecosystems and urban farms are contributing to the quality of life and the environment in our Nation’s capital. The focus will be on how these systems are reducing stormwater runoff, energy use, and providing food and tangible ecosystem services to the community.
