2018 ASHS Annual Conference

Tactics for success in the Specialty Crop Research Initiative

Objective(s):
A growing proportion of research funding for horticulture is coming from the Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) and similar funding programs. The competition for this funding is intense. Nevertheless, successful proposals come from many types of institutions and investigate diverse aspects of horticulture. This session will be helpful to anyone contemplating applying (or reapplying) for SCRI funding, and understanding some of the distinctive characteristics that set this program apart from traditional grants programs.
